Not for me. The French stamp is there to try to excuse the flaws in the cap.

I totally agree... it would also make no sense on a private purchase item like this. How would the stamp also get underneath the recently torn out sweat shield?

Hello Gentlemen,
I concur with the concerns about this cap. There was just another cap posted which had a similar visor and modern looking leather sweatband, and lighter shade green band, which I also said I did not like. I too think the French stamp was added to put people off track. The stamp looks to be added much more recently, in my opinion. I would pass on this cap.

Nice original cap but leather band+visor have been restored recently .
The stamp is also added but totally unlogical as Naulet never produced Schirmmütze
but industry made uniforms like jackets or trousers .
Producer before and after the war also , mainly for the Air force .
